Nestled in Centennial Park in Duncan is the Jubilee Community Garden and it was my pleasure to learn more about some of the wonderful things happening in Vancouver Island communities to support the cultural shift underway. As a student of Horticultural Therapy studying with Christine Pollard at Glendale Gardens & Woodlands we visited with Carol and members of the team that bring GardenPals to life. The obvious delight of all was incredibly heartwarming and renewing.

Carol Sims, Horticultural Therapist used her skills learned to set the wheels in motion that has seen the development of GardenPals an intergenerational project with school students and retired residents.
